I met Naomi through the Master's in Beekeeping program through OSU several years ago, when I was lucky enough to be assigned her as my Mentor. Wow, I had no idea what a score that was!!

Naomi taught me everything I know about beekeeping, and she did it with a direct and compassionate tone that ensured every lesson learned would stick with me for a lifetime. Her grit, compassion, confidence, and perseverance were uniquely hers and truly inspired (and still inspire) me in many elements of my life.

It was clear that Naomi was deeply passionate about the holistic ecosystem and she diligently dedicated her life to make it better through her outreach and education. Our community and our natural world suffer a great loss. My heart goes out to Larry, whom also has a heart of gold and an equal parts contributor to the betterment of our natural world and beekeeping community.

Her joyful laugh and bright smile will always be remembered.
